Remnants of Magic: Dropout

Not everyone who gains the power of magic is fit to be a warrior. For Henry, the dream of fighting monsters on behalf of humanity died when he was 19 years old. 

Since then, his life has taken a turn for the mundane. He was still left with a smart-mouth familiar and recurring night terrors, but at the very least he's able to use his magic discretely to make some money.

Henry's life couldn't be called all that fun, but it was safe. That was the case, at least, until the agency that kicked him out managed to lose control of a monster right outside his current home town.
